The “Managing Teams and Driving Collective Effectiveness” certification course took place at the beginning of December for students in the MSc Business Development et Clients Grands Comptes.
Every year, the students of the NEOMA MSc Business Development et Clients Grands Comptes look forward to the leadership seminar run by SCYFCO, a training organisation set up by graduates of the French military academy, École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr. The 2023 event, which took place from 5 to 8 December 2023, lived up to all its promises.
“As part of our work-study experience, we had the opportunity to take part in an intensive seminar organised by SCYFCO in Notre Dame de l’Ouye: three days of leadership exploration and team-building culminating in a memorable day on campus.
Guided by our mentors’ expertise, we plunged into stimulating challenges, crisis situations and collaborative activities that reshaped our approach to business. Our team of thirteen leaders, driven by the desire to succeed, overcame these challenges with an unshakeable team spirit.
This intensive learning experience has equipped us with solid skills in analysis, decision-making and implementation, which are directly applicable to our roles in business development. This adventure is much more than just a simple step in our training. It epitomises the combination of theory and practice, leadership and business development. I look forward to sharing these newly acquired skills in the professional world.
A big thank you to NEOMA for giving us the unique opportunity to enjoy this invaluable experience.”, Mohamed says.
“I am delighted to share the rewarding experience I had at the seminar NEOMA organised, a three-day training course focused on leadership, team spirit and managing difficult situations. The seminar, led by former military personnel, was an opportunity to build a collaborative approach within a team, to make managerial decisions and to take collective action within a team.
The course, which enabled us to earn the “Managing Teams and Driving Collective Effectiveness” certification, was specially designed to give us the tools we need to become competent leaders, capable of managing teams effectively while developing our personal leadership.
Three key lessons I’ve learned:
I’m more determined than ever to apply these lessons to my career and actively contribute to the development of high-impact projects.”, Lilia says.
