On March 30, the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne held the regional final of the 5th season of the competition “My Thesis in 180 Seconds”, organised by the CNRS and the Conference of University Presidents (CPU).
“My thesis in 180 Seconds” gives doctoral candidates the opportunity to present their research subject. In three minutes, each student must make a clear, concise and yet convincing presentation of his or her research project. And they must do it using only one slide as a visual aid!
Sébastien LLEO, professor in the finance department and director of the doctoral school at NEOMA Business School, was a member of the jury. “It’s very interesting to see at what point the doctoral candidates have become fully committed and use their genuine oratory talents to present simply and passionately the subject on which they have focused 3 or more years of their life as a researcher!”
The winners will participate in the semi-finals in Paris. They will then take part in the national competition in Toulouse on June 13 and the international final on September 27, 2018, in Lausanne, Switzerland.
