NEOMA's world

Thematics :

NEOMA professor in the People & Organisations Department, Nishani Bourmault, was honoured for her work in the “Re-inventing management” category at the 15th edition of this prize, a benchmark in the academic world.

For the past 15 years, the Prix Académique de la Recherche en Management (Academic Research Prize in Management), created by Syntec Conseil, the professional organisation representing the consulting industry in France, and FNEGE, the French National Foundation for Business Administration, has been rewarding the best publications in management research.

It is in this context that Nishani Bourmault, Professor at NEOMA, and Michel Anteby, Professor at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, were recently recognised for their article on the use of hypnosis in the field of anaesthesiology, published in the Administrative Science Quarterly in August 2023.

The research, entitled “Rebooting One’s Professional Work: The Case of French Anesthesiologists Using Hypnosis“, was honoured in the “Reinventing Management” category.

her thoughts on this excellent news with us:

“My co-author and I were very honoured to receive this prize for our article. The jury was composed of both academics and practitioners. So, it was particularly meaningful to hear what practitioners found interesting and useful in this research. The ceremony at Université Paris Dauphine was a nice occasion to meet professors from many schools across France and also practitioners that are interested in engaging with academic research.” Nishani Bourmault shared.

Our warmest congratulations to Nishani Bourmault for this award, which rewards her scientific work and also recognises the quality of research at NEOMA.
