Supply Chain Quarterly selects a NEOMA BS professor’s paper

Aurélien ROUQUET's article on crowd logistics was chosen by Supply Chain Quarterly in the "Research for Real word" category. This distinction led to an interview to better understand the applications of this research to the real world.
Each year, Supply Chain Quarterly selects three articles published in Journal of Business Logistics, one of the world's leading academic supply chain journals, published by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). As it may sometimes be hard for practitioners to see how the research presented applies to what they do on a day-to-day basis, CSCMP's Supply Chain Quarterly challenges the authors of selected JBL articles to explain the real-world applications of their academic work.
Aurélien ROUQUET, professor in NEOMA BS Department of Information Systems, Supply Chain Management and Decision-Making, took up this challenge and answered the questions on his article "The Rise of Crowd Logistics: A New Way to Co-Create Logistics Value" co-written with Valentina Carbone and Christine Roussat (Journal of Business Logistics, December 2017).
“Although many researchers have investigated crowdfunding and crowdsourcing, the logistics and supply chain management literature is almost devoid of work on crowd logistics. So it was exciting for us to be the first to explore this field.” Aurélien Rouquet
