MISGANAW Bisrat

PhD, Management

Bisrat A. Misganaw is Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and Director of the M.Sc. Entrepreneurship & Innovation program at NEOMA Business School. He received his PhD in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo, Norway. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, in particular on entrepreneurial teams, academic spinoffs, and entrepreneurship in the informal economy. He is also interested in informal financial institutions in developing countries, gender in entrepreneurship, and corruption. His research has been published in academic journals such as Journal of World Business, Technovation, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, and International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business. He is currently an associate editor of Business Ethics, the Environment and Responsibility. He regularly presents his research at academic conferences such as the European Academy of Management (EURAM), the Academy of Management (AoM), and European International Business Academy (EIBA). He also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for different journals and academic conferences. Bisrat teaches courses in entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable business at master and undergraduate levels. Prior to joining academia, Bisrat has worked in the banking industry in Ethiopia.
